Albion was wreathed in battle Sunday evening when Hibernian forces smashed Caer Sursbrook while Midgard sacked the keeps surrounding Hadrian’s wall. The defenders were not idle however, as groups of Albionian’s engaged the invaders at Boldiam and Berkstead. Just as the Hibernians were pushed south, the defenders were flanked by a Midgardian horde out of Caer Erasleigh.

The warhorn of Midgard could be heard all throughout Hadrian’s Wall early Sunday evening as a host lead by Vigdisdk cut a swath through Albion territory. The raiding party sacked towers at Caer Boldiam, Cear Berkstead, and Caer Benowyc with only mild resistance from the outnumbered Albion defenders. Pausing near Berkstead to prepare for another assault saw the forces of Midgard ambushed by a group Bainshees that had tracked them along the Suspiro River.

Last week saw a very special anniversary: One of our oldest players celebrated his 80th birthday. Happy birthday, Gerd! We /salute you for your continued enthusiasm and wish you all the best for the years to come.

But the battles didn’t pause. Probably because of the relic situation – Midgard owns its relics and the ones of Hibernia, while Hibernia keeps controls the ones from Albion – Sunday evening saw a full scale invasion of Midgard’s frontiers. Hibernia’s forces established a foothold in Bledmeer Faste and were soon joined by a big Albion attack on Blendrake Faste. The Battle Herald was on site and you can find some impressions in the Facebook Album.

After a lot of back and forth skirmishes without major lands gains, Sunday evening saw the wrath of Albion renewed, when the troops of Billings and Rescu joined forces to recapture Albions relics which were both held in Hibernia. After gaining a foothold in Dun da Behnn the Albion invaders quickly laid siege on Dun nGed and took it while Hibernia defenders were distracted by a simultaneous attack of Albion on Ailinne Outpost and a Migard raid on Dun Crimthain.

King's Order Extended

After a long discussion the councils in the three realms have decided to extend the opening of the warehouse for one day. While the quartermasters expressed a lot of concern about their shrinking stock of valuable assets, the Champions still were worried about the safety of their kings and were happy to see an increased strength amongst the heroes of their realm. The city guards argued that these merchants attracted some strange and dangerous monsters right to the walls of the city but were drowned out by the loud voice of the treasurer who wanted to continue to count his stacks of coins. In a nutshell: The merchants for the items of the Infernal Invasion and for the Mythirians will stay another day until Friday, 1st of July.

King's Order: Prepare for Battle

Spies and well informed sources of the realms are reporting a growing threat on the horizon. It is unclear where this threat originates but seemed to be levied towards the Kings themselves.

In reaction to this threat the Kings of the realms have ordered the Magistrates and Quartermasters across Hibernia, Albion and Midgard to open the weapon and armor stores and allow Merchants to once again sell Infernal Invasion items, including the much sought after Infernal Sleeves. In addition to these wares, the Quartermasters have released their hold on their stores of Mythirians. New Merchants from the Labyrinth will join the Infernal Merchants to sell these Mythirians.

If you follow us on Facebook you might have noticed reappearing News from the Frontlines. Over the last ten weeks the Battle Herald has posted reports like this on April 17th:
Again Albion’s frontiers were devastated by marauding hordes from Midgard and Hibernia. Hibernia established a beachhead around Caer Berkstead while Midgard temporarily dominated the west of the frontiers. Albion managed to hold onto Midgard’s strength relic but lost theirs to Midgard when the gate of Castle Excalibur was broke open Sunday afternoon and Enoch carried it away.

As things are, King Lug hasn’t got his spear back, but his realm also lost Dagda’s Cauldron. Once again, we saw a war torn weekend full off merciless battles all over the frontiers.
