Test Sever Downtime – Pendragon Patch 1.123C

    Created by

    |

Pendragon is open for testing! Its server ruleset has been changed to FFA/PVP.

The Pendragon test server will be coming down tomorrow, August 24th, at 2:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM GMT to deliver patch 1.123C to Pendragon!

Click the button below for the full notes!

    Important Note:

    • We highly suggest separating out your normal game directory from your Pendragon game directory *before* patching and testing on Pendragon.

      • If you do not do this, you *will* experience issues when patching back to live.

        • To force the live client to fix these issues, you will need to delete the mft.myp in your game’s directory and run the patcher again.

For those interested in testing on Pendragon, follow the character copy process here!

    A Dragon’s Curse Campaign: Chapter 6

    Created by

    Chapter 6

    Albion
The Dream Stone is upon us. Its power is said to be unmatched of the five. IF we can use its power for good, for what is right, then the Tenebrous will fall and our next step will be to reclaim Darkspire and liberate the Undead.
    –Commander Selan
    Midgard
I am now King of the Drakulv, thanks to your help. There is something I wish to show you, it is a sanctuary of the Drakulv . Only the Drakulv are allowed to enter, and only the most esteemed. For you, I will make it the first exception. Meet me within Drakulvhamn, there is still work to be done.
    –Garmr, King of the Drakulv
    Hibernia
The new alliance between Hibernia and the Abagath Dark Elves is a breath of fresh air for us in the Veil, and quite literally! The Rift has been taken, we have won it from the Marrach. Next, we venture further into the rift. A new waypoint has been opened, and inside is what we have been looking for. Come to me, and I will show you the way.
–Prince Reynarch, Leader of the Abagath

    A Dragon’s Curse (Chapter 6)
    • The campaign continues! Adventure into your memories! Some of your favorite old zones await with new challenges!
    • These new dungeons are restricted to a single player only. Adventure through this challenging chapter at your own pace and relive your old memories!

      • Be sure to use Selan’s Greatsword, the Drakulv Battle Horn, or Call Salle to summon some help while you are in the Dream.

        • Interact with the Dream Stone in Childe’s Tomb, Drakulvhamn, or The Rift dungeons if you have lost the summoning item.
    • The 2016 5v5 Triumphant Wristguard is now available as a quest reward from Chapter 6!

      • To start chapter 6:

        • Speak with Commander Selan in Childe’s Tomb.
        • Speak with Garmr in Drakulvhamn.
        • Speak with Prince Reynarch in the Rift.
    • Please Note: Players may need to run their client’s patcher if they are not able to see chapter 6’s dungeons after porting.

    Chapter 5

    Albion

Daila has forged our weapons. We can now strike the enemies from Darkspire and pierce their magical shield. It is time to reclaim Albion from the Tenebrous and prepare ourselves to move within the Catacombs. Once we defeat their leaders, Dartmoor will once again be safe.
    –Commander Selan

    Midgard

Warriors of Midgard! I have gone on a short journey since we last spoke. I have been into the Catacombs, passed the Burial Grounds, and into the Glashtin Forge. Freki and I searched for a smith capable of such miracles. I have the Soul Weapons. We can now defeat the Drakulv King and reclaim Drakulvhamn! It begins now!
–Garmr, leader of the Drakulv Rebellion

    Hibernia

Heroes, my sister, Sayri, has returned to Sheeroe Hills. She has been in the depths of Hibernia, and she is leading the Glimmer to build something…terrible. I fear Mother has gotten into her head again, and when Sayri listens to Mother, bad things happen! With our Soul Weapons, we can face Sayri and her terrors. We must stop her, for the good of a renewed Hibernia.
    –Salle, the Glimmer Fairy

    A Dragon’s Curse (Chapter 5)
The campaign continues! Defeat the leaders of the Cursed uprising!
New gear has been added to the aurulite merchants!
    To start chapter 5:

    • Speak with Commander Selan in Childe’s Tomb or Camelot.
    • Speak with Garmr in Drakulvhamn.
    • Speak with Salle in the Rift or Tir na Nog.

    Chapter 4

    Albion

As the outlook brightens within the dark tomb, Commander Selan is pushing the offensive forth into ending the Tenebrous uprising. Rackham, the first of the Undead to betray the Tenebrous and seek out Albion for aid, knows of a way to use the Soul Stone’s remaining power.

    Midgard

With Oracle Sabna now a part of the Drakulv Revolution, the pillar of leadership begins to sway amongst the Drakulv rebels. However, this will not stop Garmr and his crusade to liberate the Varulv kind from their cursed masters. He will work with the Oracle, who has discovered a way of forging weapons made with soul magic, if it means he will no longer serve the ancient evils of Midgard’s troubled past.

    Hibernia

The Veil is home to all sorts of magic and terrors, and Prince Reynarch of Abagathar finally has his opportunity to make his mark in Dark Elven history with the defeat of the Glimmer. To that end, their Glimmer Fairy ally has thus far delivered unremarkable aid to the Abagathar Dark Elves – and she continues to do so. Salle cautiously offers the Resistance a way to create soul weapons – but with a warning; this magic is evil, and using it can have unknown consequences…

    A Dragon’s Curse (Chapter 4)
The campaign continues! Gather the souls of your fallen enemies!
    To start Chapter 4:

    • Speak with Commander Selan in Childe’s Tomb.
    • Speak with Garmr in Drakulvhamn.
    • Speak with Salle within the Rift in Sheeroe Hills.

    Fixes

    • The Soul Stone’s Power buff from Oracle Sabna for Midgard players and from Childe for Albion players is now obtainable from their respective NPCs even after the Chapter 3 quest is completed.

      • Hibernia players can get this buff from their Salle companion.
    • The Blood Stone quest encounter was bugged in the case that some players may not have received their Blood Stone from Chapter 2.
    • Note: You will need the Blood Stone to complete coming chapters.
    • On Albion: Defeating the Blood Slime in the Blood Pit within Childe’s Tomb will always award players who are missing their Blood Stone with a replacement. The Blood Slime will always spawn for players who have completed the Chapter 2 quest, ‘The Blood Stone’, by interacting with the Blood Pit.
    • On Midgard: Defeating the Blood God in Priestess Aiyana’s Shrine will always award players who are missing their Blood Stone with a replacement. The Blood God will always spawn for players who have completed the Chapter 2 quest, ‘The Blood Stone’, by defeating Priestess Aiyana.
    • On Hibernia: Defeating the corrupt dragon hatchling in the Rift will always award players who are missing their Blood Stone with a replacement. The corrupt dragon hatchling will always spawn for players who have completed the Chapter 2 quest, ‘The Blood Stone’, by destroying the glimmer egg.

    Chapter 3

    Albion

Commander Selan has heard no mention of the next magic stone, but there is word of an unexpected ally from within Childe’s Tomb. Artemelis, Selan’s trusted companion, has met with the tomb’s keeper, and he is willing to provide Selan with valuable information that may tip the tide in Albion’s favor.

    Midgard

With Garmr and his men investigating the location of the next magic stone, Sigrun and Theso have learned of a Drakulv traitor within Drakulvhamn. This traitor, a highly influential and respected Oracle of the Drakulv, has agreed to meet with a hero of Midgard and show them the potential of the Soul Stone’s true power.

    Hibernia
Salle the Glimmer Fairy continues to prove a valuable ally, as she has discovered the dormant power within your Soul Stone. Speak to her by calling her with her flute, and she’ll explain how Hibernia can harness the stone’s ominous might.

If you lose Salle’s flute, you can receive a new one by speaking with Salle in the Rift.

    A Dragon’s Curse (Chapter 3)

The campaign continues! The Soul Stone’s Power awaits!

    To start chapter 3:

    • Speak with Commander Selan in Childe’s Tomb in Dartmoor.
    • Speak with either Theso or Sigrun, depending on the path you’ve chosen, in Drakulvhamn in Malmohus.
    • Visit Salle the Glimmer Fairy in the Rift in Sheeroe Hills.

    Chapter 2

    Albion
We’ve finally broken through the barriers and have laid the uncharted tunnels open for exploration. If what Rackham says is true about the Soul Stone, I fear we may already be too late to stop the plans of the Tenebrae. Nonetheless, our next move is planned. Make haste to me.
    — Commander Selan
    Midgard
The incessant wind has finally stopped. We can now venture deeper into these treachorous tunnels. If the Soul Stone was an indication of the riches to be found, we of the Frozen Torch are destined to more glory, fame, and wealth than I first thought. Garmr’s prattling about some ceremony be damned; there’s a dragon’s treasure hoard down here and we’ll be the ones to take it.
    –Theso of the Frozen Torch
    Hibernia
The Abagath have finished their work with the energy barriers, I can finally lead you further into The Veil. I will be by your side to guide you in this place, for there are many dangers. Nothing matters compared to our search for the dragon eggs. We must find them, for Hibernia!
    –Salle, the Glimmer Fairy
    A Dragon’s Curse (Chapter 2)

The campaign continues! Find the Blood Stone!

    To start chapter 2:

    • Speak with Commander Selan in Childe’s Tomb in Dartmoor.
    • Plan your next move with the Drakulv traitor, Garmr in Drakulvhamn in Malmohus.
    • Visit Salle the Glimmer Fairy in the Rift in Sheeroe Hills.
The entire dungeons are now open for exploration!

    • Several new quests and quest types have been added to the dungeon:

      • Normal Quests – Can be done as a solo player.
      • Elite Quests – Will typically involve a small group to complete. These are marked (Elite) in the quest’s title.
      • Battlegroup Quests – Will require a battlegroup to complete. These are marked (Battlegroup) in the quest’s title.
      • Campaign Quests – Will have varying degree of difficulty. These are marked as [Cursed] in the quest’s title. They also state if they are achievable (Solo), as a (Small Group), or require a (Battlegroup).
      • All quest credit is battlegroup credit (but can be completed as a solo or group as well).
    • Aurulite and loot changes:
    • The Aurulite Merchants have new potions!
    • Legacy Merchants that offer legacy Catacombs items have been added inside the dungeons.

      • These will be updated with more legacy items in the coming chapters.
    • The chance for all enemies in the new dungeons to drop aurulite has been increased.
    • Named, non-elite enemies, have an increased chance to drop aurulite. However, they are typically more difficult than regular enemies.
    • Enemies marked <Elite> always drop a larger stack of aurulite. Elite enemies are typically powerful and require several allies.
    • The crafting ingredient, powdered aurulite, has been added to the loot table of the dungeon enemies.

    Chapter 1

    Albion

I said I would call upon you again and now I have. Together with our new Undead allies, we have found the stronghold of the Tenebrae. They make base in an ancient tomb deep within Dartmoor, one whose legends tell of an old hunter who died here in a snowstorm. What a different place Albion was back then. Meet me here, and with our new allies we can begin to end this Undead threat.
    — Commander Selan
    Midgard
It is time, adventurers. The glory, fame, and riches we have for so long been chasing finally are within reach. It is time to invade Drakulvhamn, home of the nasty Varulv that aided Gjapinulva. There are bound to be riches inside – and the Frozen Torch will be the ones to claim them.
    –Theso of the Frozen Torch
    Hibernia
At first, I was uneasy about betraying my kind, the Glimmer. But now, I see the good in the world, the good in Hibernia. There is a phenomenon occurring, one that hasn’t been seen in decades. The Veil has once again opened, leading to what is one of the infinite rifts inside of it. The opening is in Sheeroe Hills, and this must be more than mere coincidence. The dragon eggs must be involved. Meet me inside – I will be waiting for you.
    –Salle, the Glimmer Fairy
    A Dragon’s Curse (Chapter 1)

    • Venture into Dartmoor, Malmohus, and Sheeroe Hills once again and continue A Dragon’s Curse!
    • New open-world dungeons have been added to the three realms, and these can be found in each realm’s dragon zones!

      • Dartmoor – Explore around the soutwest corner of the zone for tomb’s entrance!
      • Malmohus – Explore around the northwest corner of the zone for the tunnel entrance!
      • Sheeroe Hills – Explore around the northwest corner of the zone for the veil’s rift entrance!
      • Please note that if you are currently logged in you must re-patch to be able to see the new dungeon entrances.
    • Aurulite returns! Within the new dungeons awaits quests and enemies who will award players with aurulite, which can be spent at the new aurulite merchants within the dungeons!
    • The encounters involved in Chapter 1 are meant for a single player to be able to complete alone. However, to do so will be challenging so we encourage players to team up with your fellow realm mates for a speedier conquest!

    A Dragon’s Curse (Prologue)

    • In case you haven’t completed the Prologue yet…

    Albion

There is an un…easy tension stirring in Albion. Commander Selan and her companions, King Constantine’s chosen heroes, have been given authority over this unusual phenomenon. There is quite the uproar occurring near Albion’s grand church. Find Commander Selan and speak to her!

    Midgard

Roshak has been assigned to investigate the distrubance in Malmohous by King Eirik and is ruminating on who should lead the expedition. Theso, leader of an unruly band of treasure hunters and scoundrels known as the Frozen Torch, is now leading the forefront to find lost Midgard relics. The only way to stop these treasures from falling into the wrong hands is to find them first, and that’s just what Sigrun of the Shield of Valhalla, a sect of Valkyries and other soldiers loyal to Midgard’s ancestry, plans to do. Visit Roshak in the Assembly Hall and then find Sigrun and Theso arguing near the Burial Grounds in Jordheim.

    Hibernia

The Veil has become unstable, and we’ve dispatched Hibernian Magi to try and quell the disruption. On top of that, a Glimmerling has ventured from Sheeroe Hills and has come to Tir Na Nog seeking an alliance in regards to the unstable rift. The Glimmer working with Hibernia is a rare occurrence indeed, and is worth at least hearing out this messenger. Our Tailtiu allies have escorted the Glimmer here, and Supreme Eldritch Cystilla has been assigned to oversee the matter at the rift’s entrance.

    It’s Grab Bag time!

Thanks to everyone for your questions. If you have any game related questions for our DAOC Devs, please send them in through our Grab Bag submission form. Please note this is for game questions, feedback should be sent in through our feedback form.

    On to this week’s questions…

Previously there was talk of a housing update, is this still in the works? Full consignment merchants, vault space, plat limit, better market search badly need looking at and improving.

Yes, we absolutely will follow-through with our earlier promises of a housing update. We have long-term plans for entirely new house art, house types, increased house vault space, a solution to full consignment merchants, and improvements to the market search usability and interface.

In the nearer term, we are focusing on the completion of our ongoing Dragon Curse campaign, RvR and class changes to address your ongoing feedback, the aforementioned MTX features like durability repair and race/gender/name respecs, as well as some soon to be announced initiatives! Once those near to mid-term goals are complete, we would love to return our attention to the much-needed housing updates!

As a cleric I wanted to change my small shield to Aten’s shield with the new Mithril system. But when I got the shield the scholar gave me a medium shield. Is there anyway broadsword is going to correct this so we can have a choice between small and medium?

This is something we can possibly look at in the future but it’s not technically a bug. One of the unique benefits of Clerics is that they have always been able to use medium shields whereas other non-melee healing classes have been limited to only small shields. This has meant that their rewards have been itemized with medium shields in lieu of small ones across most of the game’s content, with Aten’s shield included. Changing this item to allow Clerics to choose the shield size sounds like a logical enough idea on paper but of course there are many other examples of many other classes that will have similar requests. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen, but it’s not a priority at the moment and we would much rather tackle all of those changes in one fell swoop than do them piecemeal and have some classes feel left out.

Now that there is an official place for this question, I’ll ask something I’ve always wondered about. The game has every type of magic imaginable…except for water. As a Hib-only player, I’m seeing the nature connection in Hibernia with the naturalist classes, so if such a class or spec line were ever made, Hib would be the best place for it. Wizards have fire, Theurgs have wind, both have earth, Hibs have nature heals with vague names like “renascence” and “apotheosis”, thanes have lightning, and we even have magnetism and whatnot on the mauler, but why no water magic? I’ve always wondered why all the other magic types under the sun are available in one form or another, but this was the one that was left out. Why is that? I think it would be one of the coolest additions ever!

To be fair, Wizards and Theurgists do have Ice magic already! That said, Water magic would certainly be a great addition to the game and perhaps one day we can add it onto a relevant (or new!?) class.

Many feel that the current relic system is outdated with today’s game. They are only worth taking to annoy the other realms, but mostly not taken due to their slowness to run back. Does Broadsword have any plans to look into bringing relics in line with how RvR is today?

We have had some internal discussions as far back as patch 1.115 regarding relics and how they should be changed.

One of the larger ideas discussed was to institute a relic capture “ceremony” where the attacking realm must hold the relic temple or keep for X amount of time. Once the ceremony ended, the attacking realm would be teleported back to their realm’s relic temple along with the captured relic. Granted, that discussion revolved around the 1.115 rules where relics were stored in un-capturable keeps or the temples which kept them more open to attack by the defending realm.  The feedback at the time was to only tweak them slightly as many players enjoyed the opportunity to intercept relics on their way to a realm’s temple.

We are certainly open to the idea of upping the relic-carrier’s speed as well and are still open to any feedback on the relic bonuses themselves but have admittedly gotten very little feedback regarding relics over the past several months.

Is it true that every/certain armor and weapon pieces have different proc rates compared to others? I’ve heard that some meth fangs and timeless chest pieces have a much higher proc rate than others, or is it just RNG?

Offensive and reactive proc chances are set on each individual weapon or armor piece so it’s entirely possible that some items do have higher or lower chances to proc but as a general rule we use the following proc rates:

Reactive armor or shield procs: 10% chance
Offensive 2-handed or 1-handed weapon proc: 10-15% chance
Offensive dual-wielded weapon proc: 6-8% chance

Looking at the Timeless chest pieces and Astral Mephitic Fangs specifically, they each have proc rates in line with the values listed above.

With that in mind, if you do see an item that seems to have much higher or lower proc rates than what’s listed here, please report it as a bug and we’ll take a look.

    Enjoy the weekend all 🙂

    Friday Grab Bag – 07/28/2017

    Created by

    |

It’s the weekend, time to relax and unwind…Start off with the Grab Bag!

But first! Our next DAoC newsletter will be out after the weekend, so make sure to sign up here for all the goings on in DAoC AND for a special preview of something new coming to our MTX store soon! 🙂

If you have game related questions for our DAOC Devs, don’t forget to send them in through our Grab Bag submission form. Please note this is for game questions, feedback should be sent in through our feedback form.

    On to the questions!

In the last two years we’ve gotten a lot of powerful new items, but they all seem to have spirit as a main resist. In making a variety of templates for a variety of different classes and realms spirit always seems to be significantly over capped and/or you need to use less then desirable items to get the most utility. My question specifically is targeted at the new boots that were released with chapter 5 of the curse campaign. Is this setting up for future items that may replace old items or was spirit chosen to go well with the story line, etc.? Body, Heat, Thrust, Slash are all more desirable resists since primary template items usually fill the rest (especially since boots are typically one of two spell crafted pieces in a template). Can you take a look at spirit resists on items be changed for something with more utility?

We really, really, really, REALLY don’t like to change item stats, resists, or other bonuses once they’ve been released as many players will have already fit them in with the rest of their gear and any change would cause those players to have to reconfigure everything. Going forward, we can look at new items addressing some of the more uncommon resistances or stats.

Does the durability of a harp effect chants ( speed, end, etc)? I was always under the impression that if it does not have a +skill you do not have to have it repaired.. many people are saying it’s what’s causing songs to drop.

The issue with the songs dropping has to do with a bug with “spell range increase” abilities (both from the new songs and from pre-existing items that have the ability). Any range increase ability will cause the rest of the songs on that player to end after a certain time has elapsed. Fortunately, we have a fix coming next week to address this as well as some other requested changes.

As to the question at hand, the durability% of an instrument doesn’t affect the use or duration of songs at all until the durability reaches 0% (in which case the item breaks completely). Similarly, an instrument’s condition% does not matter in regards to playing songs; nor does it affect their duration.

The only reason to repair an instrument is if the instrument has +skills bonuses on it. Any item that has +skills on it will not apply those +skills if the item is at 70% condition or less; it has nothing to do with instruments and songs specifically but is just a blanket rule for all equipment, including jewelry.

Can you clarify the parameters for obtaining a “solo kill” for /title count (not for solo quest)? Also, is there any plans to evaluate not worth opponents be worth solo kills? Currently if you kill someone solo and they are not worth RPS, you do not obtain a solo kill for /title count. This is disheartening especially since at times, you have no idea they may not be worth and use all of your RA’s/abilities.

Certainly! A solo kill requires the following parameters to be met:

-The player earning the solo skill is ungrouped and otherwise receives no help during the kill (heals from other players, etc.)
-The player earning the solo kill does equal to or greater than 80% of the damage to the enemy player who is killed.
-The enemy player who is killed must be worth full realm points.

That’s it! The deathblow is not actually needed so long as the player did equal to or greater than 80% of the damage.

Stay tuned for our update early next week for some changes to /released characters’ “RP worth” timer as well as changes to the daily solo quest!

In the spirit of some of the quality of life (QOL) changes that have been implemented in the past 6-12 months, is there any chance a “Entrance market return token” could be added to the merchants next to all of the Market Explorers? This would allow players to purchase their desired zone token and then an additional entrance token and avoid all of the shuffle that is involved in finding an unlocked house with teleporters in it. It’s a small question/change, but something that could save all players some time and frustration.

Great suggestion! Interestingly, this system is already setup and working but for some reason the Caerwent entrance, Meath entrance, and Erikstaad entrance return tokens were never added to the respective stores. Regardless, if you check in the housing regions you’ll see the entrance tokens available for purchase now!

Since MTX is released can you give us a sneak peek into upcoming features? I’d really love to be able to purchase a skin for my hunter pet that is automatically applied and/or some unique weapon skins (spear is lacking in cool factor!). Spending money on a game I enjoy has never been an issue for me and would love additional uniqueness, just want to see if you have intentions of this going forward.

We’re very excited about the response to the new Mithril shop and have been getting a lot of questions similar to this one. So it’s a perfect opportunity to lay out the general plan for “MTX” going forward:

    • We plan on introducing new cosmetic options on a monthly cadence. This means the next update will be around mid-August. The reason for this is that we absolutely want to flesh out our ‘MTX’ offerings as we can see that there is a huge appetite for many of these cosmetic options and several quality-of-life features; but our foremost focus is and always will be on the game itself. A monthly cadence for ‘MTX’ gives us time to give commensurate focus on both!
    • These updates will *generally* be small in nature as the bigger ‘MTX’ features are being worked on in the background. Obviously, once a big feature is ready, that month’s update will be big too!
    • Cosmetically-speaking, most updates in the near to mid-term will focus on equipment (armor or weapons) and not other cosmetic options like new character faces, body types, hair options, and the like. Eventually, we will have those for you though!
    • We are still toying with ideas on custom skins for things like pets or spells. While in theory those would be really cool, we also have to ensure that spell-effects and pets remain consistent with what players are used to seeing in combat. In other words, we really can’t stray too far afield there without hindering gameplay. At this time, we are not making concrete plans to introduce these sorts of options.
    • We have plans for the following non-cosmetic, quality-of-life “MTX” features right now (these would be the “big” features mentioned above):
    • Name changes
    • Race respecs

    Chapter 5

RvR Buggane’s Obelisk and Daily Quest Hot Fix

    Created by

    |

We’re excited to announce the following changes!

    Buggane’s Obelisk

    • Buggane’s Obelisk will now rotate its locations in conjunction with the rotating daily bonus quest’s location.

      • This means if the daily bonus quest from the General is located in Albion’s Brough Ruins (Alb Maze) for the day, Buggane’s Obelisk will spawn there as well.

        • This does mean that if the obelisk is up in 1 location, it is down in all other locations.
        • Ellan Vannin will no longer have the obelisk up unless the daily rotating quest is also in Ellan Vannin.
      • When the quest changes at 12:01 EST each night, Buggane’s Obelisk location will change too!
      • Speak with General Kogis, General Bruki, or General Vegda in each realm’s relic town and they will also tell you where Buggane’s is located (along with aligning with their rotating quest that day).

        • Realm ownership of Buggane’s Obelisk will still show in the /realm window regardless of where Buggane’s Obelisk is currently located.
    • Buggane’s Obelisk once again awards a bonus to realm points in addition to its bonus to bounty points and coin earned.

      • Its bonus amounts still scale as follows based on realm rank:

        • Realm Rank 1L1 – 3L9: 75% bonus to RP/BP/Coin
        • Realm Rank 4L0 – 5L9: 50% bonus to RP/BP/Coin
        • Realm Rank 6L0 – 7L9: 25% bonus to RP/BP/Coin
        • Realm Rank 8L0+: 15% bonus to RP/BP/Coin
      • Its duration is still 2 hours and lasts through death and logout; however, it no longer lasts after zoning out of the frontiers.
    • Siege weapons are not allowed within 850 units of the obelisk.
    Daily Quests

    • The quest [Daily] The Solo Road has had its kill requirements reduced from 20 to 10. Its reward remains unchanged.

      • We recommend visiting the General in each realm’s relic town to get the new version of this quest if you have more than 10 kills remaining on it currently.
      • All other daily quests remain unchanged.

    RvR Daily Quest Hot Fix

    Created by

    |

Some quick tweaks to the new RvR daily quests have been made as follows:

    • [Daily] Roaming with Friends: reduced from 75 to 25 enemy realm players killed while in open-field areas.

      • Still rewards 15,000 realm points for completion.
    • [Daily] For the realm: reduced from 50 to 25 enemy realm players killed inside an under-siege keep’s area.

      • Still rewards 15,000 realm points for completion.
    • [Daily] The Solo Road: increased from 15 to 20 enemy realm players killed while solo.

      • Still rewards 15,000 realm points for completion.
      • Any deathblow on an enemy player while solo will count towards this quest’s credit.
    • The rotating daily quests have all had their enemy kills reduced from 50 to 25.

      • These quests still reward 25,000 realm points for completion.

If you have these quests currently, you may need to re-vist the General in each realm’s relic town to get the updated quest. Of course, if your quest is already closer than 25 or 20 kills (respectively) to completion then we’d recommend not doing so.
