    Ghost Keep Event

    • Members of each realm should make haste to their ghostly ambassador to strengthen their realm’s cause:

      • Albion – See the Ancient Paladin in the Catterick Hamlet relic town
      • Midgard – See the Ancient Thane in the Godrborg relic town
      • Hibernia – See the Ancient Champion in the Crair Treflan relic town

      • These NPCs offer two quests during the ‘supply’ phase of the event that can only be obtained and completed during that phase.
      • Once a ghost keep has been triggered by a realm, the ‘supply’ phase ends for all three realms and these NPCs will direct players to defend or attack the appropriate ghostly keep lord!
      • Be sure to visit this NPC at each phase to ensure you pick up any available quests.
    • Earn extra realm and bounty points for completing the tasks throughout each phase of the event!
    • A successfully summoned ghostly keep lord will offer the Ring of the Summoned reward, along with a quest for the Ghostly Medal of Valor!

      • Please note that players who have already completed the Ring of the Summoned quest can obtain another one or exchange their existing one for another at the ghostly keep lord.

    • The Dynamic Keep Channelers at Caer Berkstead, Nottmoor Faste, and Dun Crimthainn that can teleport players into the inner keep of their respective keeps make their return for the event.

      • The channelers will spawn when their Ghost Keep Lord is active AND the keep is actively under siege (flames on the realmwar map).
    • Speak to the ghostly ambassador at the relic towns to obtain the additional quest [Ghost Keep] Ghosts of Enemies Past. Complete this quest to earn a Ghostly Weapon token to turn in for a weapon of your choice!

      • Can only be completed once per toon

Olibar, the Midwinter Tomte, will be paying frequent visits to Castle Sauvage, Svasud Faste, and Druim Ligen seeking assistance. He seems to have lost some Midwinter presents throughout the battlegrounds. Speak to him if you wish to assist him. Players on Gaheris between the levels of 35 to 49 can speak to him to receive a special Frontier Gift Retrieval quest instead.

    • Olibar’s Gift Retrieval quests can now be done an unlimited amount of times!

Santa Nicholas, Lucia of the Light, and Jack Frost will arrive with gifts for the people of the realms, but there’s been a bit of a crisis: their presents were hijacked and are now in the possession of dangerous enemies.  They will offer the Saving Midwinter quest to all adventurers level 48 and above. Save Midwinter and earn a Frozen Cloak of Midwinter and a Frozen Medal of Honor! Visit them at the Winter Villages outside of Ludlow, Ardee, and Vasudheim.

In Albion, Clara sets up a giant tree at the festival tents. Speak with her for information on obtaining an appropriately-sized one for your own home or yard (Note: this quest has been changed). Nearby, Sister Samantha is collecting toys for the children of Albion. She offers some fine holiday greenery as a reward to those generous souls who answer her call.

In Midgard, Kevin somehow manages to decorate a tree all for himself. Ask him about it and he may give you a few pointers regarding your own arboreal home decorating (Note: this quest has been changed). The Gythja of Frigg is taking donations of toys from passers-by and granting them wreaths and garlands in return.

In Hibernia, the rather small elf Noelle brings her tree to the festival grounds. She will help you start your own holiday tradition if you want one of your own (Note: this quest has been changed). Matron Elleweh is looking for assistance in gathering gifts for the children of Hibernia, with a promise of some festive decorations in return.

The Trinkets for Tots quest is available for all levels.

The Midwinter Tree quests start at level 35, however rumor has it that there may be a more advanced challenge to follow for those of level 48 and up.

      • Midgard: near the Burial Grounds in Jordheim

Catch Up in Caledonia – Mordred’s Revenge

    Created by

    |

Have you or your friends been thinking of coming back to Dark Age of Camelot? Have you been holding back the bloodthirsty urge to attack and betray players of your own realm?! Now is the time to unlock that rage!

Our 10th Catch Up In Caledonia event begins today, Monday, December 4th at 3 PM EST / 9 PM CET! Being our 10th Caledonia, it is a special one as this Caledonia is Player versus Player!

Read on for the full details!

What is Catch Up in Caledonia?

It’s a way to start fresh and rapidly progress to the end-game with players around your level!

The 7-day long event that will take place entirely in the Realm vs Realm-enabled Caledonia battleground zone.

Players will start at level 1 and rapidly progress to level 50 all while earning gear, master levels, champion levels, and realm ranks along the way!

By event’s end participants will be ready to compete in the Frontier!

What makes this Caledonia so different?

This Caledonia is enabled for PvP (Player versus Player) which means that you may group with…*or* attack and battle any other player regardless of realm. Only your group-mates are safe from your wrath!

When does the event begin and end?

The event starts precisely at 3 PM EDT / 9 PM CET on Monday, December 4th a nd will conclude at 3 PM EDT / 9 PM CET time on Monday, December 11th.

    How does the event work?

    • For the first 4 days of the event, newly created level 1 characters will be automatically zoned into the Caledonia battleground!

      • This will be the ONLY way to get inside the battleground zone. Once inside, characters can voluntarily leave but CANNOT return!
      • All monsters, center-keep guards, and siege weapons are removed for the event. The only way to progress is by defeating enemies in battle and completing the related quests.
    • Experience, bounty, and realm point bonuses will be granted to both free and subscribed accounts in the battleground to help them progress!
    • Earn bounty points for completing quests and defeating enemy realm players and use them to purchase level-appropriate gear as you strive to 50 and then master and champion levels!
    • All characters will begin and remain in the same Caledonia zone for the entirety of the event.

      • The following level caps will be in place for all characters in Caledonia and will increase as follows every 24 hours:

        • Day 1 (Monday): Level 19 maximum
        • Day 2 (Tuesday): Level 29
        • Day 3 (Wednesday): Level 39
        • Day 4 (Thursday) : Level 49
        • Days 5-7 (Fri-Mon): Level 50
      • Characters that reach the day’s level cap will still be able to earn realm and bounty points. However, please note there are hard realm point caps and should you hit this cap, you’ll need to continue leveling to pass the cap and earn realm points again.
    • Characters that are 5 levels or more below the day’s level cap will receive the Caledonia Boost buff.

      • This buff greatly increases the damage dealt and greatly reduces damage received from characters that do not have the buff (higher level characters)!
      • Characters with the Caledonia Boost buff active will also DOUBLE the XP and BP rewards for themselves and their group!
      • When the level cap reaches 49 the buff will be given out to characters 3 or more levels under the cap.

    PvP Specific Changes

The following event changes have been made to facilitate PvP:

    • Starting Guilds have been removed. In some cases, you may not be removed from your guild, if you experience this, please /gc quit. Players cannot attack players in the same guild so please make sure you’re unguilded.
    • All 3 starting areas within Caledonia are now ‘safe areas’ where players can get setup, buff, gear up, etc in peace.
    • Players can port between the Albion, Hibernian, and Midgard safe areas via the portal Obelisk at will.
    • Players can create and join cross realm groups.
    • Everyone not in your group is considered an enemy, and may be attacked.
    • Cross realm trading is allowed, however some items remain unuseable depending on realm/class.
    • Battlegroups are not allowed. Chat groups are allowed.
    • Chat channels are open and visible for all realms including region, advice, LFG, etc.
    • NPC’s for each realm including trainers remain at their original realm safe area.
    • Some NPC’s have been duplicated for quick re-buff and re-engage in combat such as the Realm Enhancement and Hasteners NPCs
    • Buff tokens under level 40 are now free.
    • Buffs from the Realm Enhancement NPCs are now not overwriteable.
    • A new buff token, Beibhinn’s Blessing, has been added to the Realm Enhancement NPCs. This token is full capped buffs and useable at level 50 and within Caledonia only.
    • Resurrection Sickness on /release has been removed. Players will still receive RS during battle rezzes.
    • Dummies have been removed from the safe areas as attacking is forbidden in these areas.
    • Overwhelming Force will not be turned on for this event.

The following spell & abilities have been changed for the duration of the PvP event:

    • The Master Level Path Warlord AoE buff spells now only effect the caster and their group.
    • Banespike now only affects your group.
    • Speedwarps now effect everyone, regardless of realm, not in the casters group.
    • All AoE buffs i.e. Druid/Shaman/Cleric aoe non conc buffs only effect the casters group.
    • All AoE heal spells i.e. Valkyrie PBAoE, Druid AoE, Warlord heals, OW Restorative Cloak use1, and Warden proc heals only heal the casters group.
    • Animist AoE bladeturn now only effects the casters group.
    • Paladin AoE cures only effect the casters group.
    • Chain Lightning now affects Midgardians.
    • The level 50 Animist pet in the Creeping Path line now only heals Hibernians in the casters group rather than all Hibernians in range.
    • AoE Resurrection effects such as Egg of Youth and OW Restorative Cloaks cannot be changed and will attempt to resurrect realm mates of the user regardless of group status.
    • Realm target spells such as direct healing and resurrections can apply on players not in your group! Be careful with your targeting!

    Pet Collector NPC

Due to how the safe areas now operate (pets are not charmable in the safe areas as this is considered an “attack”), the following changes have been made to the Pet Collector NPC:

    • Speaking to the Pet Collector NPC now gives you a Pet Collector Summoning Stone.
    • This stone is intended to be used outside of the three safe areas only within Caledonia. This is due to pets not being charmable in these areas.
    • Once used, this stone will summon a Pet Collector in order to allow you to summon the desired pet. This mob is useable by any pet charm class not just the caster, and vanishes in 25 seconds.
    • This stone has unlimited uses, cannot be destroyed but can be dropped, and a 50 second cooldown timer.

How far will I be able to progress?

Players that start at the beginning of the event should be able to reach level 50, Champion level 15, Master level 10, and Realm Rank 5+ with the potential to earn much higher realm ranks! Characters will also be able to earn enough bounty points to not only obtain gear as they progress towards level 50 but also to use for end-game gear via Bountycrafting after reaching level 50!

We’ll see you on the battlefield at Caledonia!

Mordred’s Revenge – Betrayal in Caledonia

    Created by

    |

    Friends and realm mates,

We are excited to reveal that the recently announced Catch-Up in Caledonia event will be Player vs. Player!

The spirit of Mordred has returned and has cursed the Battleground at Caledonia. This evil has infected the hearts and souls of all who enter, destroying their ability to distinguish friend from foe. Caledonia’s PvP mode will allow players to take up arms against their realm-mates and ally with members of enemy realms. Click ‘More’ below for details!

The PvP ruleset is specifically limited to the battleground of Caledonia and will remain active for the duration of the event. The standard Catch-Up in Caledonia dynamic of daily level caps and accelerated progression remains largely intact.

The PvP nature of this event includes the following:

    • Players may create and join cross realm groups
    • Everyone not in your group is considered an enemy, and may be attacked
    • Those who fall in combat will release to one of the 3 staging areas which function as safe zones where players may train, regroup, ready-up, and re-enter the fight
    • Players may port between all 3 safe zones via the group port Obelisk
    • Chat channels such as Region, LFG, and Advice will be visible to all realms

    Additional updates and changes include:

    • Battlegroups will be unavailable for the PvP Caledonia event (chat groups will still be available)
    • Overwhelming Force will not be available for this event
    • Newly created characters will be removed from starter guilds
    • Certain spells and abilities have been updated, and will be reverted at the conclusion of the event

Players participating in Mordred’s Revenge will get the chance to earn the new title: Kinslayer!

The event starts Monday, December 4th at 3PM EDT / 9PM CET and will conclude on Monday, December 11th at 3PM EDT / 9PM CET. Be sure not to miss this one! Gather your allies and your enemies and start working on those new group set ups!

We are looking forward to seeing you on the Battleground at Caledonia. For power. For glory.

    For Mordred.

    Harvest Celebrations Event

    Created by

    |

It’s that time of season when the leaves have changed color and are steadily falling, when the wind arrives with a chill and the scent of chimney smoke, and the bounty of the year’s harvest is ready to be served and celebrated!

    Harvest Quest

    • The realms are humming with anticipation for their upcoming feasts and local festivals!

      • Help the realms’ Festival Steward recover a lost shipment of food!

        • The repeatable RvR quest ‘[Harvest] Lost Turkey’ is now available at each realm’s strength relic town at the Festival Steward NPC!

          • Earn bounty & realm points for your efforts!
    • The Harvest Event will run until Tuesday, November 28th, 2023.

    Farmer’s Market Festival

    • The Farmer’s Market Festival makes its return to the following locations:

      • Albion: Ludlow
      • Midgard: Vasudheim
      • Hibernia: Ardee
    • Visit the Festival Matron and go bobbing for apples to earn some house trophies!
    • Let Captain Mack in Albion, Captain Marks in Midgard, or Captain Geddes in Hibernia regale you with their tales of a shark THIS big on the high seas.
    • The Farmer’s Market Festival will run until Tuesday, November 28th, 2023.

    New Mythirians

A new way of leveling the new Mythirians introduced with the latest Crossroad Covenants event has been added. Players can complete either of the following quests then hand the Mythirian to Gwynn at the relic towns to fully level the Mythirians:

    • Supplies for the Cause – 10 times, or
    • [Weekly] The Heart Still Bleeds – once

Please note! Starting these quest choices will overwrite any current level progress on the Mythirians. These quest counts will need to be completed in full, regardless of current Mythirian level. For example: if your Mythirian is currently level 7, you will still need to do all 10 Supplies for the Cause quests, or the [Weekly] The Heart Still Bleeds quest once.

We are currently still investigating the issue with Crossroads event wings not being vaultable.

Crossroads Covenant Comes to a Close

    Created by

    |

Crossroads Covenant has concluded! We sincerely hope you enjoyed the event’s multiple phases, including a trip to Old Frontiers’ Odin’s Gate!

Players who have completed all 3 Phases and have a level 10 Mythirian can speak to Gwynn at their relic town to complete a turn in quest for the final Mythirians (stats can be found here):

    • [Coming Home] Ascension – Vigilant path
    • [Enemy Territory] Ascension – Demonic path

      • Note: if Gwynn doesn’t speak to you, un-equip the myth and re-equip it

Players with a Phase 2 level 10 or unleveled Mythirian will need to level the Mythirian stages in order to unlock the final version.

    Additional Rewards:

Those who have completed all 3 phases of the event can also obtain the below quests from Gwynn and receive their new cosmetic mask reward and a Battlefield RP Potion. The Demonic Mantle and the Visage of the Vigilant Patterns may be applied to any helm to give them the appearance of these masks. Understanding that helms often change, Gwynn soon intends to start offering a replacement pattern provided you were eligible for the original reward.

Players of the Demonic Order may obtain these rewards via the quest: “A Bargain Fulfilled”

Players loyal to the Order of Vigilance may obtain these rewards via the quest: “Virtue Signaling”

Note: Ruined Keeps will remain until Harvest event.

    Coming Up:

Coming later in November we’ll have the Harvest event!

December 4th sees the return of the Catch Up in Caledonia event, our 10th such event! Followed by our Midwinter event, including Midwinter Gifts, later in December. And maybe a couple of surprises between now and the end of the year 😉

    Stay tuned!
