    RvR Tournament Winners!

    It’s been a long month…from our birthday celebrations and Halloween events, to our Comeback to Camelot campaign and our RvR Tournament!

    The standings are done and we finally have our winners! I don’t know about anyone else, but I was checking the leaderboards constantly, especially in the final days!

    We froze the leaderboards at the stroke of midnight on October 31st and spent the weekend ensuring that all winners participated cleanly and within the spirit of the game. You can view the final standings on the top 100 leaderboards.  Players removed from the leaderboards should check their account email for information regarding the violation they committed.

    The winners of the top RPS and Kill/Death ratio in each realm will receive a statue of their winning character created in their realm’s capital city, and a 30 day timecode. These statues will grant a once off quest to players who visit them, with dangerous tasks, but worthy rewards! Look to see these statues in the capitals by week’s end!

    RvR Tournament Update

    Greetings friends,

    There are just under TWO days left in our first ever Realm vs Realm Tournament!

    The top 100 leaderboards in each realm are full of impressive performances by some very good players. In appreciation of this fact, we’d like to announce that we’ll be doing a drawing to award 3 lucky players from each realm, that are in their realm’s Top 100 list, with a 30 day Game Time Code! The top RP and Kill/Death ratio winners in each realm will be receiving a 30-Day GTC as well and won’t be eligible to win in the drawing.

    The drawing will take place next Monday, November 3rd, once the tournament has concluded and the Leaderboards are set! 

    On another note, we wanted to make a quick announcement about how the winners of the tournament will be determined. Tomorrow, October 31st, at the stroke of midnight the Leaderboards will be saved and frozen. We will then spend the weekend ensuring that all winners have participated cleanly, within the spirit of the game, and announce the winners officially on Monday. Any players deemed to have cheated in anyway will be removed from the leaderboards and a final, saved version of the top 100 lists will be saved and archived on the Herald, for all to see on Monday.

    Additionally, once the Tournament and Tournament’s drawing winners have been announced, the statues will be erected in the capital cities over the course of next week. With the addition of the statues, there will also be a new quest that can be obtained when visiting each of them. The tasks they will have you embark on will be dangerous but the reward will be worth it!

    Good luck to all and a round of applause for everyone who’s made it (and are going to make it!) into the Top 100 lists!

    Update: The Halloween Potions have once again been disabled in RvR zones.

    Trick or Treat!

    All Hallows Eve is upon us and that means costume potions (excluding pixies and ghosts) will work in the Frontiers now through the morning of Sunday, November 2nd. Have fun out there, and remember to never trust a Troll dressed up as a Lurikeen!

    The Anniversary month of October ends this Friday and with it our Come Back to Camelot Campaign and RvR Tournament will draw to a close as well.

    As a last hurrah to our celebration of 13 years of Dark Age of Camelot, we are pleased to announce the following Bonuses and the Infernal Merchant Event! The Bonuses and Infernal Merchants will be live from today until the morning of next Tuesday, November 4th.

    Be sure to get out there and defend your realm’s Frontier, but you might want to stock up at the Infernal Merchants outside Castle Sauvage, Svasud Faste, and Druim Ligen first… rumor has it that the merchant Elium has a few coveted potions for sale!

     

    Capital Cities:
    40% Bonus to Crafting Speed
    20% Bonus to Crafting Skill Gain

    Housing Zones:
    20% Bonus to Crafting Speed
    10% Bonus to Crafting Skill Gain

    Ywain:

    Anniversary Month Update

    Greetings friends!

    We’re a little over halfway through the Anniversary month and we couldn’t be more excited about how things are going. Turnout has been spectacular for the first ever King’s RvR Tournament and with the addition of the Pumpkin Patches from the Halloween Event this week, RvR action has picked up even more!

    Be sure to check out the Tournament Leaderboard and Rules pages to see who the current leaders are and to take another gander at that epic statue you could win!

    In other news, the newly released DAoC t-shirts are still available for purchase HERE. So far, Midgard is winning handidly!

    Unfortunately, this round of shirts is only available within the US. For those of you outside the US, we are hard at work on a more permanent solution that will be able to ship to North American and International players and one that will provide more options and styles, so sit tight, we’ll have plenty of swag available for you soon!

    Don’t forget, all returning players receive 13 free days during the Month of October and all characters that visit the Royal Accountant during the month get the 13th Anniversary Tapestry for their house!     Halloween Event – 2014

    UPDATE: The Halloween Event has come to a close.

    October is not just our favorite month because of the Anniversary, it’s also Halloween! And that means haunted cities, candy and costumes, pumpkin patches in the Frontiers, and of course… the Pumpkin Moon!

    Festivities begin Tuesday, October 14 2014 and will conclude Monday, November 3 2014.

    Follow  the jump for a list of all the activities happening this year:


    • The Ghostly Harvest Quest offers players level 45 and up a dangerous adventure in the frontiers. Speak with John Tobin on the Cotswold Bridge, Foa Muldisson outside the Jordheim North Gates, or Nera by the road in Mag Mell to begin the quest. (Note: Players who completed this quest last year will now be offered it again.)
    • Treat sellers have been spotted selling sugary confections inside Meath, Erikstaad, and Caerwent.
    • The consignment merchants would like to show you their Halloween spirit! Pick up the merchant and place it back down on your house porch and he will change into a Halloween outfit for you!
    • Be aware adventurers! Ghosts haunt the streets of your capital cities as the pumpkin moon rises! Ghosts have also been spotted in Mag Mell, Aegirhamn, and Campacorentin Station.
    • The horses you once rode have joined the spirit realm. (This affects stable and merchant horses only – not player controlled horses.)
    • Something strange has happened to all of the puppies.
    • The pumpkins have been carved into jack o’ lanterns!
    • A trio of crazy old women have been spotted selling costume potions inside Camelot, Jordheim, and Tir na Nog.

      • The costume potions last 15 minutes each and come in a variety of flavors.
      • The costume potions work best if you remove your helm and armor.
      • You cannot digest another costume potion if you are transformed into any of the monster forms.
      • The costume potions’ magics are short-lived and the potions will be useless after the festivities end so don’t horde them.
      • Some of the costume potions allow you to take the form of the enemy, so don’t be scared if you see some in your capital city or housing zones, it’s just your realm mates playing dress up!
      • The costumes and potions only work while you are in the capital cities or housing zones. You cannot use them outside of these zones and if you leave the zone while in costume, you will lose the effect.
      • As always, the days before, during, and after Halloween these potions can be used in RvR (With Exception to Pixies, and ghosts potions, which are not usable in the frontiers ever)

    13th Anniversary Bonus Weekend

    Oct. 14th Update: The weekend bonuses have returned to normal.

    Hail friends!

    It’s been a fabulous 13th Anniversary Month so far but today is the actual birthday of our beloved Dark Age of Camelot! To celebrate, the following bonuses have been applied and will run until the morning of Tuesday, October 14th.

    On Ywain:
    50% bonus to RP in all NF zones (including Darkness Falls and The Labyrinth)
    100% bonus to normal XP gain in all classic zones and dungeons.
    100% bonus to normal BP in all NF zones.

    On Gaheris:
    100% bonus to normal XP gain in all classic zones and dungeons.
    100% bonus to normal BP gain in the capital cities.
    100% bonus to normal RP gain in the capital cities.

    In each Capital City:
    40% Bonus to Crafting Speed
    20% Bonus to Crafting Skill Gain

    We’ve had lots of requests to show how to receive the 13 free days for re-activating after 9/24/14 with Game Time Codes during the Anniversary Month’s Come Back to Camelot Campaign. Well, here’s a video outlining the process:

    For those of you who have already re-activated after 9/24/14 with Game Time Codes by using the “Activate Key” option on the Account Center and did not receive your free days, fear not! Your accounts have been flagged and will receive the 13 Free days prior to your new subscription running out.

    Get your DAoC T-Shirts Here!

    Greetings friends!

    We’ve been receiving feedback for a while now asking when DAoC T-shirts would be available again. With the 13th Anniversary month here, we decided it would be the perfect time to offer them!

    We are offering three different versions of the shirt – one for each realm – through Custom Ink’s Booster program. This means the shirts are only available for purchase for the next 25 days, or until November 1st, and in order to get your realm’s shirt, at least 50 others must be sold. All proceeds will go towards future Event Rewards.
