    1.119 Live Hot Fix

    1.119 is out and Ellan Vannin has been a huge hit so far! We’re thrilled to see everyone enjoying the new zone and have watched many an epic battle there!

    Below are some fixes and notes that have just been put up to all live servers. Keep your feedback and bug reports coming!

    • The hitpoints on the Obelisk Rubble have been reduced.
    • The hitpoints on the Buggane’s Obelisks have been reduced slightly.
    • The postern doors of Knoc Meayll, the underground keep on Ellan Vannin, now teleport players inside the inner gate of the keep instead of just onto the ledge inside the outer gate. 
    • Players that have obtained Uther’s, Ymir’s, or Cliodna’s Otherworldly Resilient Cloak can now visit the Royal Illuminator in their realm’s throne room to trade in their Resilient cloak for any of the 4 Chapter 9 cloak rewards.

      • Players need only have a Resilient cloak in their inventory in order to initiate the trade-in quest.
    • Personally placed scout boats, galleons, and warships can once again be driven in the frontier zones.
    • Trials of Atlantis ferry boats once again move along their pre-determined routes.
    • (Gaheris-only) Manannan mac Lir has been made more difficult.

    Update 12:10 PM EST: All Live servers are back online!

    All servers will be coming down tomorrow, Wednesday 12/2/15, at 5:55AM EST / 10:55AM GMT for patch 1.119!

    Important Note:

    • Please be aware that this patch will update the /realmwar map in the User Interface.

      • Custom UIs that have not been updated *should* still work but will not show the new outposts that have been added to the /realmwar map.
      • If you’d like to update your Custom UI files, please read the patch notes carefully for the files affected.

    Two Pendragon Test Events – Monday

    On Monday, November 30th Pendragon will be changed to the Gaheris ruleset. The Battlegroup will be started by Nickspally, and open for all to join and help test starting at 3PM EST / 9PM CET. The test will run for two to three hours, and members of the Dark Age of Camelot team will also be present. Gaheris and Ywain will not be taken offline for this test.

    On Monday, November 30th, the ruleset will be switched back to normal at 7PM EDT / 1AM CET​. The Dark Age of Camelot team with the help of some volunteers will be conducting a test event on Pendragon. The test will run for two to three hours. Ywain will not be taken offline for this test.

    We will be testing all aspects of the newly revamped island, Ellan Vannin, and giving away some great prizes!

    Test NPCs will be available in the Strength Relic Towns in the New Frontiers. These NPCs will provide Experience, Realm Ranks (with a cap at Realm Rank 5), Platinum, Master Levels, Epic Armor, and more! You’ll be able to create an RvR–ready character in just a few short minutes!

    It is our hope, however, that you will /charcopy from Ywain, as we would like to for you to feel comfortable with your character as we conduct the test. For information on how to copy your character to Pendragon, please click HERE!

    All players that join us through the entirety of the Pendragon tests will be eligible to win a free Game Time Code!

    During the Gaheris ruleset test:

    ·         First Prize – One 3 Month DAoC Game Time Code!
    ·         Second and Third Prize – One 1 Month DaoC Game Time Code!

    During the normal ruleset test:

    ·         First Prize – One 6 Month DAoC Game Time Code!
    ·         Second Prize – One 3 Month DAoC Game Time Code!
    ·         Third and Fourth Prize – One 1 Month DaoC Game Time Code!

    The drawing for the prizes will be held toward the end of the event, so be sure to stick around! Keep an eye on the Camelot Herald for additional updates on the test event.

    Thanksgiving Weekend Battleground Event and Bonuses

    Thanksgiving is a time of thanks and so we’re thanking our community and players with these RvR bonuses and Thidranki level 50 Battleground event!

    Notes
     
    • TheThidranki Battleground will be open to level 50 players from Wednesday, November 25th through Sunday, November 29th.
    Bonuses
     

    On Ywain:

    • 25% bonus to RP gain in all NF zones (including the Labyrinth)
    • 50% bonus to RP gain in Thidranki
    • 25% bonus to RP gain in all other battlegrounds
    • 100% bonus to normal XP gain in all classic zones and dungeons
    • 50% bonus to normal BP in all NF zones
    • 100% bonus to normal BP in Thidranki
    • 50% bonus to normal BP in all other battlegrounds.

    On Gaheris:

    • 100% bonus to normal XP gain in all classic zones and dungeons
    • 50% bonus to normal BP gain in the capital cities
    • 50% bonus to normal RP gain in the capital cities

    In each Capital City:

    • 40% Bonus to Crafting Speed
    • 20% Bonus to Crafting Skill Gain

    In all Housing Zones:

    Otherworlds Campaign: Chapter 9

    Chapter 9 of the Otherworlds Campaign has arrived and with it the final encounter with King Uther, Ymir, and Queen Cliodna! Can you defeat them and earn their Otherworldly Cloak?

    Check out walkthroughs for the Prologue and Chapters 1-8 as well as the new Chapter 9 notes by clicking the Campaign Calendar image above or read the notes below!

    • After completing Chapter 8, visit the following NPCs to continue on to Chapter 9:

      • Albion: Lieutenant Haley in the Otherworlds’ Camelot Hills, Chapter 8 area
      • Midgard: Arin Snowtouch in the Otherworlds’ Mularn , Chapter 8 area
      • Hibernia: Nara Manastrong in the Otherworlds’ Lough Derg, Chapter 8 area
    • Drive back the rulers of the Otherworlds once and for all!

      • You’ve tracked down Uther’s, Ymir’s, and Cliodna’s whereabouts and the realms are launching a full-scale attack on their forces.

        • King Uther seems to have fled to Cotswold, but upon arrival it is apparent he is the aggressor here! There is no running this time. After arriving in Chapter 9, learn what his demands are from the King’s Emissary.
        • Ymir has another portal key and has stomped his way towards the town of Mularn to make his stand. This will be the last chance to stop him from entering Midgard! After arriving in Chpater 9, find out what his Emissary has to say.
        • Queen Cliodna has made a pact with the Unseelie Court and all of their forces now follow her orders. Her orders could be to destroy Hibernia, or protect it. After arriving in Chapter 9, speak with the Emissary to see which it is!
      • A newly-skinned Otherworldly Cloak is yours for the taking if you can manage to defeat King Uther, Ymir, or Queen Cliodna!

        • Note: Players will need to patch their client to see the new cloak art.
      • Follow the hints to see where Chapter 10 will be!
     

    For those that are not yet ready to start Chapter 9, follow these steps to catch up:
    • To begin the Prologue visit the following NPCs once you’ve reached level 50:

      • Albion: Chamberlain Harlen in the Throne Room
      • Midgard: Athr Hasetti Theyr in the Throne Room
      • Hibernia: Seneschal Desmond in the Throne Room
    • For those that have already completed the Prologue and are ready to begin Chapter 1, visit the following NPCs to continue:

      • Albion: Lieutenant Haley in Lyonesse
      • Midgard: Arin Snowtouch in Vanern Swamp
      • Hibernia: Nara Manastrong in Bog of Cullen
    • For those that have already completed Chapter 1 and are ready to begin Chapter 2, visit the following NPCs to continue:

      • Albion: Master Burray in the Otherworlds’ Lyonesse, Chapter 1 area
      • Midgard: Master Hamis in the Otherworlds’ Vanern Swamp, Chapter 1 area
      • Hibernia: Master Zedde in the Otherworlds’ Bog of Cullen, Chapter 1 area
    • After completing Chapter 2, visit the following NPCs to continue on to Chapter 3:

      • Albion: Master Raystan in the Otherworlds’ Lyonesse, Chapter 2 area
      • Midgard: Master Rarold in the Otherworlds’ Vanern Swamp, Chapter 2 area
