    1.129b Pendragon Patch Notes

    Created by

    |

Our Pendragon Test server has been updated with Patch 1.129b!

    Highlights

    • Quality of Life Changes
    • Bug Fixes
    • Class Balance

Please hop on Pendragon and check out the below changes. Let us know your thoughts and report any issues you may find in the 1.129b patch channels in our official DAoC Discord, thank you!

Click the image below to check out the latest patch notes.

    Important Note:

    • We highly suggest duplicating your game directory and using the duplicate copy as a Pendragon-only game directory *before* patching and testing on Pendragon.

      • This means duplicating the entire “Labyrinth” folder (usually found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Labyrinth) to another location and using that copied folder exclusively for Pendragon testing.
      • If you do not do this, you *will* experience issues when patching from Pendragon back to live.

        • To force the live client to fix these issues, you will need to delete the mft.myp in your game’s directory and then run the camelot.exe patcher again.

For those interested in testing on Pendragon, follow the character copy process here!

    Doppelganger Invasion Event Returns

    Created by

    |

After battling with blood sworn enemies, and against our own, the realms have begun to settle. But it’s in times like this, this preoccupation, that sees another foe poised to take advantage to increase its power, and strike!

Recent Doppelgangers behavior has puzzled researchers across the land. Long-time veteran realm guards in Breifine, Pennine Mountains, and Jamtland report that they have not seen or heard reports of Doppelgangers these past few days. A call to arms is made, and a bounty awaits those who would muster their courage, summon their realm mates, to find out what this evil is planning and rid the land of this foul menace.

Alerted to the danger, the kings of the realms have placed a bounty on Doppelgangers in order to dispel these forces, before it’s too late.

    • Players are once again tasked to hunt down and cull the Doppelganger numbers for a reward of 10 Invader Seals.

      • Doppelgangers have a rare chance to drop additional Invader Seals regardless of the quest being active or not.
      • Each character can only benefit from a max of 300 seals.
      • Doppelganger spawn rates have been increased in Hadrian’s Wall, Odin’s Gate, Emain Macha, and Ellan Vannin.
      • Additional Doppelganger spawn locations have been added to Hadrian’s Wall, Odin’s Gate, Emain Macha, and Ellan Vannin.
      • Doppelgangers have been removed from the areas of Breifine, Pennine Mountains, and Jamtland Mountains for the duration of the event.

        • This quest is no longer a daily quest.
    • Rewards can be claimed at the Doppelganger Traitor at the strength relic town or in capital cities, and are unlocked at the following thresholds:

      • 10 seals = 1x Cauldron of Supremacy
      • 25 seals = 1x Cauldron of Celerity
      • 75 seals = 1x 50% Realm Point Bonus potion (3 charges)
      • 125 seals = 1x Box of Event Potions (1 use, 1 item)

        • Potions include: Black Lion Potion, Wolf Potion, Sobekite Potion, Potent Effusion of Comprehension, Potent Effusion of Omnipotence, Potent Effusion of Warding, Extended Draught of Tenacity, Draught of the Arcane, and Draught of Resilience. Players will receive one potion.
      • 175 seals = 1x 100% Realm Point Bonus potion (3 charges)
      • 225 seals = 1x Starlight Weapon Token
      • 300 seals = 1 50% Realm Point Bonus potion (30 charges)
    • Invader Seals earned from the previous Doppelganger Invasion event will not count towards this event.
    • The Doppelganger Traitor NPC found in the capital cities (only this one!) is also offering a way to expedite the event at a significant discount to the normal price of the event’s mithril rewards!

    Doppelganger Lord

Players must once again face and defeat the Progenitor Doppelganger on Ellan Vannin.

    • This quest is repeatable, group credit within the Crossroads regions, and awards realm points. Does not auto renew.

Note: This quest is to kill the Doppelganger Lord and provides a separate reward. The quest is not necessary to spawn and kill the Doppelganger Lord, as killing Doppelgangers and realm enemies is the objective of the event. You may spawn the Lord, and receive area rewards with or without the quest.

    • Killing players and Doppelgangers within Ellan Vannin will cause a Progenitor Doppelganger Lord to spawn on Ellan Vannin center.
    • Once the Progenitor Doppelganger has been defeated, players killed within the region of Ellan Vannin will be worth more realm points for 15 minutes.
    • This Realm Point boost can be refreshed by killing the Doppelganger Lord again. Note: players may need to leave and re-enter Ellan Vannin through the milegates if they aren’t getting the buff.
    • Killing a Doppelganger Lord awards area credit realm points. On Ellan Vannin, this area has a radius around the center that does not extend beyond the milegates. The area is quite large, but be aware that it does not reach the outskirts of the map.
    • Credit is not awarded if you are stealthed at the time the Progenitor Doppelganger dies.

    Ruined Keeps and Knoc Meayll

    • The merchant keeps of Caer Benowyc, Bledmeer Faste, and Dun Crauchon have reverted to their ruined state for the duration of the event.
    • Knoc Meayll has been made un-captureable for the duration of the event.

Players should speak with the Doppelganger Traitor at relic towns or in their capital cities to start these quests.

    • All event rewards and invader seals are no-trade, no-drop, and no-sell. They are destroyable, however are required in order to turn in for rewards.
    • Any leftover invader seals on a character will be removed at the end of the event and cannot be transferred to other characters.
    • The Doppelganger Invasion event will come to an end on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025.

    Sigilbound Frontiers

    Created by

    |

The Frontiers Call You Back… but something ancient calls louder.

Sigils, etched with power and purpose beyond understanding, have appeared across the Albion lands of Hadrian’s Wall and Pennine Mountains. Their sudden appearance has left a mark across the realm. Once mighty keeps and towers now lie in ruin, their foundations shattered. The Sigil awakening brings forth mysterious containers, gargoyle gaurdians, and stonebound horrors.

The mists have lifted. The smaller skirmish zones you’ve grown to love have faded into memory, for now. The Frontiers once again become the battlefield… but not as you remember them. A focused war effort begins, rotating every two weeks to a different realm’s frontier, starting with Albion.

In this war-torn chapter, only two key regions of the chosen frontier are accessible – Hadrian’s Wall and Pennine Mountains.
A 75% effectiveness debuff will apply to anyone attempting to venture into the regions of Snowdonia or Forest Sauvage.

    Rotating Realm Focus

Every ~2 weeks, the battlefield shifts: Albion → Midgard → Hibernia. Each realm will have its time to defend its homeland… and its enemies will have their time to storm it. Event regions will have an additional 25% realm point bonus on top of the realm bonuses listed below.

    The Sigilbreaker

No one truly knows yet what the Sigils are, who made them, or why they were buried beneath our lands. But something stirs when blood is spilled nearby. From the shadows of war and ruins of battle, the creature awakens. Find it. End it. But know this, such a beast is not summoned easily. The cost is measured in the lives of the fallen.

Visit the Sigil Merchant to obtain the quest: [Sigilbound] The Sigilbreaker

    • Once enough players are killed within the regions of Hadrian’s Wall and Pennine Mountains, The Sigilbreaker will spawn.
    • This quest auto completes, auto renews, awards realm points (same value regardless of who gets the deathblow), and 125 Shattered Sigils.
    • Quest completion is Battlegroup credit.
    • The Sigilbreaker will, most of the time, spawn at two towers when he spawns. This is intended.
    • Spawn and death announcements will be visible in the combat window, including location of spawn.

    Shattered Sigils

Shattered Sigils are a special event currency that can be traded at the Sigil Merchant event store to purchase valuable rewards.

    • Each character can hold up to 5,000 Shattered Sigils
    • This store is based off the Map Fragments store but with some new items added, and others replaced.

    Sigil’s Echo

We’ve begun finding strange things near the maze. Old, sealed chests marked with runes none of our scholars recognize. They weren’t there before the Frontiers stirred again. Someone, or something, wants us to notice them.

Players can visit the Sigil Merchant to obtain the gather quest: [Sigilbound] Sigil’s Echo

    • This quest is based around the realm’s maze, auto completes but does not auto renew. Awards 500 realm points and 5,000 bounty points, repeatable.

    Sigil’s Guardian

Deep within the maze, there stirs something old. We’ve found a powerful guardian that watches over the Sigils, but be warned! It will not give up its charge easily. We need you to hunt it down and bring an end to its watch!

Players can visit the Sigil Merchant to obtain the quest: [Sigilbound] Sigil’s Guardian

    • This quest auto completes, auto renews, awards realm points and 50 Shattered Sigils.
    • This quest is on a respawn timer.

    Keeps and Towers

    • All towers within the event area have been reduced to their ruined state for the duration of the event.
    • All coastal keeps in the event area, excluding Caer Boldiam, have been reduced to their ruined state for the duration of the event.

    Porting

The ability to port from each realm’s relic town has changed as follows for the duration of the event:

    • Keep portal stones have been removed from the non event realm’s relic towns and border keeps
    • Teleporters to Dinas Emrys, Rensamark, and Magh Tuireadh have been disabled
    • Ellan Vannin safe port has been disabled
    • The Ellan Vannin Obelisk has been replaced with a Keep Obelisk that will port players to the areas around the ruined coastal keeps of the event area

      • This includes removal of the Ruined Areas solo ports
      • Note: the group debuff within these areas has also been disabled

The Sigilbound Frontiers event in Albion will run until Friday, May 23rd, and then rotate realms.

    Daily Quests

    • The [Daily] Solo Road quest has been replaced with a new chain of [Lone Wolf] quests

      • The Ellan Vannin/Maze requirement has been removed
    • The [Daily] Roaming with Friends quest has been replaced with a new chain of [Squad Goals] quests

      • The open area requirement of this quest has been removed

    Head Hunting Trophy

Details on how to collect the Head Hunting Trophy will follow.

    Realm vs Realm Bonuses

    On Ywain:

    • 50% bonus to RPs from kills
    • 50% bonus to normal XP gain in all classic and shrouded isle zones and dungeons.

    On Gaheris:
