King’s RvR Tournament

A month long tournament awarding statues to the top 9 winners (1 per category, per realm) and in-game prizes for the top 10 in each category, per realm, starts from midnight EST tonight! The tournament will last for the duration of the month and ends midnight October 31st.

As of 2AM EST / 8AM CET October 1st, 2022,  you can track hourly updates of the tournament stats by visiting our leaderboards here. Further information can be found here.

Additionally:

• The Ruined Keeps of Caer Benowyc, Bledmeer Faste, and Dun Crauchon have returned to their original states. Masons and Protection Obelisks are once again available
• Doppelganger spawns have returned to their normal spawn rates and locations

Ruined Areas Update

The following changes have been made to the Ruined Areas ports for the duration of October to facilitate the King’s Tournament:

• Relic Town Obelisk will no longer port to Folley Lake, Moydruim Castle, or the Trellebourg Fortress
• Please note: we may make further changes to these areas over the course of the Tournament.

Bonuses

Anniversary bonuses will begin today and conclude on November 1st, 2022.

On Ywain:

• 100% bonus to RPs gained from RvR kills
• 100% bonus to normal XP gain in all classic zones and dungeons

On Gaheris:

• 100% bonus to normal XP gain in all classic zones and dungeons
• 100% bonus to normal RP gain in the capital cities

In each Capital City:

• 40% Bonus to Crafting Speed
• 20% Bonus to Crafting Skill Gain

In all Housing Zones:

• 20% Bonus to Crafting Speed
• 10% Bonus to Crafting Skill Gain

Update 09/27/2022 13:30 EDT / 18:30 CET: Live servers are back up! 

Ywain and Gaheris servers will be coming down tomorrow Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 at 04:45 AM EST / 10:45 AM CET to implement fixes for the items listed below.

We expect the downtime to be approximately 8 hours and will provide updates on the Herald during the deployment as well as notification as to when the server is back online.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue with anytime and shield styles
• FnF, summoned, and charmed pets should award deathblow credit once again

In celebration of our 21st Year Anniversary, the Dark Age of Camelot team is pleased to announce the return of our King’s Tournament!

With the King’s Tournament there will be three winning categories:

• Solo Kills
• Keeps Captured
• “Skill Index” score based on a combination of RvR metrics (including RPs-per-kill and kills-to-deaths ratios, as well as some others).

The top winner in each category in each realm will win their very own statue in-game, stylized after their character and placed in their realm’s capital city! We’ll also be offering rewards for the top 10 in each category, details of which will follow.

The tournament starts October 1st and ends midnight October 31st!

King Constantine of Albion, King Eirik of Midgard, and King Lamfhota of Hibernia are looking for champions to inspire their realm to even greater glory! Will you be one of them!?

Whisperings across the realms tell of strange deals being made. Deals which affect the power struggle between good and evil in our very frontiers. Players are urged to exercise caution when hunting around the far regions of the realms:

Notice From the Vigilant Order

Increased demonic activity has been observed at the northern crossroads between the realm’s frontiers!

The Vigilant Order offers our support to those who choose to stand against this demonic threat! Followers of the Order will be enchanted in the crossroad areas of the frontiers with the use of the following blessings:

• 10% reduction in damage taken
• 10% reduction in damage done
• 10% reduction in healing done
• 50% increased realm point earnings

Followers Beware! The demonic forces are aware of our efforts to halt their nefarious acts and have seeded their evil magics for those foolish enough to be tempted by darkness!

Three new quests have been added with this Crossroad Covenants event: an introduction quest, a new repeatable weekly (for duration of the event), and a final reward quest. Accepting the first quest gives players either Stand With Wickedness item or Demon’s Due item, depending on path. Use this item within the event areas to receive your power!

Players must choose a path: to Stand with Wickedness or give Demon’s their Due. Each path offers strengths, and weaknesses, so choose wisely! 

Rewards:

• New never before seen cloaks and, for the dedicated, never before seen visual effects!
• A new title!
• Midsummer battlefield potions!
• Realm points & bounty points!

This event starts today and will run until September 29th, 2022.

Please note: The quests auto complete so please make sure you have room in your bags for the rewards!

Solo Titles

Solo titles have been expanded to include two additional titles!

• Lone Enforcer – 2,000 solo kills
• Lone Assassin – 5,000 solo kills
• Lone Slayer – 10,000 solo kills
• Lone Executioner – 25,000 solo kills

Update: 16:00 EDT / 22:00 CET Ywain and Gaheris are back online!

The following changes are now live on Ywain!

Ruined Keeps

For a limited time, the merchant keeps of Caer Benowyc in Hadrian’s Wall in Albion, Bledmeer Faste in Odin’s Gate in Midgard, and Dun Crauchon in Emain Macha in Hibernia will revert to their ‘ruined’ state and will feature the following temporary changes:

• Keep walls will remain destroyed keep gates and postern doors will remain open Guards and other keep NPCs will not spawn
• The Protection Obelisk will be disabled and unavailable
• Solo quest objectives have returned to the keep areas

Port Keep Changes

The following keeps are now temporarily portable for home realms by clicking or saying “go” at the teleport obelisk in the relic towns:

• Albion: Caer Berkstead
• Hibernia: Dun Crimthainn
• Midgard: Nottmoor Faste

Protection Obelisk Changes

The following changes will apply to the Mason and Protection Obelisk:

• Keep upgrade tokens to level 5 and level 9 will now only be usable on home realm owned keeps
• The Protection buff is now a flat 35% buff regardless of relic or keep ownership status
  • Note: we are looking at ways to make this more dynamic going forward
• The uninterruptible casting buff given through the obelisk has been removed
  • Please note: we are looking into potential alternative keep changes to be added at a later date

Supplies for the Cause

Supplies for the Cause quest in the frontiers has been updated as follows:

• Bounty Point reward has been increased to 15,000

We appreciate your patience with our scheduled maintenance this week, and though the Doppelganger event has concluded, we will be extending higher Doppelganger spawn rates as well as RvR bonuses. The following Bonuses will remain live:

Realm vs Realm Bonuses:

On Ywain:
50% bonus to RPs from kills
50% bonus to normal XP gain in all classic and shrouded isle zones and dungeons.

On Gaheris:
50% bonus to normal XP gain in all battlegrounds, classic and shrouded isle zones and dungeons.
50% bonus to normal RP gain in the capital cities.

In each Capital City:
40% Bonus to Crafting Speed
20% Bonus to Crafting Skill Gain

In all Housing Zones:
20% Bonus to Crafting Speed
10% Bonus to Crafting Skill Gain

In addition to this, the Realm Timer for Subscribed accounts has been removed. No change has been made to the Realm Timer affecting Endless Conquest accounts.

Live Dev Chat

We’ll be taking questions you submit ahead of time via our submission form here as well as straight from the Twitch channel’s chat. There are no questions off limits and we will aim to answer as many as possible!

Darkness Falls Events

• On June 4th from 7PM CET /1PM EST the EU zerg leaders bring the fight to the dungeon of Darkness Falls! Albion forces will be led by Jennypala, Hibernia’s forces will be led by Herorius, while Midgard’s forces will be led by Muylasav.

• On June 11th from 8PM EST / 2AM CET the US zerg leaders take charge in Darkness falls! Timbuhktu will gather the realm of Albion, Herorius will lead the charge for Hibernia, and Leegyn will muster the ranks of Midgard.

After such a great time in the recent Labyrinth events, you will not want to miss these Darkness Falls battles! Many thanks to the leaders on each realm for organizing these 🙂

Darkness Falls will be open to all realms from 1 hour prior and after each event.There will also be a 50% RP bonus enabled in the dungeon for the durations.
