    Midwinter: Icy Dread

Venture across Ellan Vannin to where the cold now forms and shatter the icy grip that threatens to plunge the lands into eternal frost! Unite and brace yourselves, for the time has come to confront the evil that lurks in the heart of winter’s embrace.

Players can visit the following NPC’s to obtain the quest [Midwinter] Icy Dread:

    • Albion: Lady Idris in Catterick Hamlet
    • Hibernia: Yda Llonwy in Crair Treflan
    • Midgard: Fathor in Godrborg

This is a repeatable battlegroup encounter. Defeating any one of these three mobs will complete the quest and award you with a Midwinter Key. These Midwinter Keys can then be used at the Yuletide Chest at your realm’s relic town where you can receive one of the following:

    • New Yuletide weapon skin
    • Blank Weapon/Shield Pattern (now trade-able!)
    • Various Potions
    • Jack Frost weapons: Anvil of Ice, Icewind, Snowlight, and Wintertime (Frost and Frostbreaker remain obtainable solely from Jack Frost dungeon)
    • Random Anniversary and Midwinter reward

Note: the quest mobs are tough, so bring friends! Quest credit is not awarded if stealthed or within Knoc Meayll keep.

    Frost Gnomes

Camps of Front Gnomes can be found throughout Ellan Vannin, there is no quest associated with these mobs.

    • Slaying a Frost Gnome will award realm points and a chance drop of a Midwinter Key.
    • Note realm points from Frost Gnomes are only awarded to group sizes of 5 and below.

    • Hibernia: Yda Llonwy in Crair Treflan
    • Midgard: Fathor in Godrborg

Ellan Vannin will have a 50% realm point bonus for the duration of the event.

    Midwinter Festival Event

The days grow short, a chill is in the air, and warm fires glow in our homes. The Midwinter Festival has come once again to the Realms! Visit the festival grounds to take part in the festivities and challenges.

        • Players who complete the [Daily] Roaming with Friends quest just once from now until the end of Midwinter Festival will earn this wise companion for free!
      • Three vendors have stepped up to serve as consignment merchants.
        • No longer limiting his reach to just the lands of Hibernia, Jack Frost seeks to spread his influence through the Market Boards.
        • Merlof’s ambitions have only grown, and now he wishes to help you sell your wares.
        • After years of practice, a Theurgist has successfully managed to teach one of his ice pets the basics of economics, and now is willing to lend you its services.

Olibar, the Midwinter Tomte, will be paying frequent visits to Castle Sauvage, Svasud Faste, and Druim Ligen seeking assistance. He seems to have lost some Midwinter presents throughout the battlegrounds. Speak to him if you wish to assist him. Players on Gaheris between the levels of 35 to 49 can speak to him to receive a special Frontier Gift Retrieval quest instead.

    • Olibar’s Gift Retrieval quests can now be done an unlimited amount of times!

Santa Nicholas, Lucia of the Light, and Jack Frost will arrive with gifts for the people of the realms, but there’s been a bit of a crisis: their presents were hijacked and are now in the possession of dangerous enemies.  They will offer the Saving Midwinter quest to all adventurers level 48 and above. Save Midwinter and earn a Frozen Cloak of Midwinter and a Frozen Medal of Honor! Visit them at the Winter Villages outside of Ludlow, Ardee, and Vasudheim.

In Albion, Clara sets up a giant tree at the festival tents. Speak with her for information on obtaining an appropriately-sized one for your own home or yard (Note: this quest has been changed). Nearby, Sister Samantha is collecting toys for the children of Albion. She offers some fine holiday greenery as a reward to those generous souls who answer her call.

In Midgard, Kevin somehow manages to decorate a tree all for himself. Ask him about it and he may give you a few pointers regarding your own arboreal home decorating (Note: this quest has been changed). The Gythja of Frigg is taking donations of toys from passers-by and granting them wreaths and garlands in return.

In Hibernia, the rather small elf Noelle brings her tree to the festival grounds. She will help you start your own holiday tradition if you want one of your own (Note: this quest has been changed). Matron Elleweh is looking for assistance in gathering gifts for the children of Hibernia, with a promise of some festive decorations in return.

The Trinkets for Tots quest is available for all levels.

The Midwinter Tree quests start at level 35, however rumor has it that there may be a more advanced challenge to follow for those of level 48 and up.

Ellan Vannin: Blood for the Key

    Created by

The bloodshed across Ellan Vannin has awakened the Mournful King, who has escaped the dungeon that once held him. Drawn to the chaos, he has emerged within the heart of the island, seeking vengeance on all who stand before him. Those brave enough to face the Mournful King will find great rewards, if they survive.

    Halloween Event 2025

    Created by

    |

It’s time for the Pumpkin moon to rise again! Haunted cities, candy and costumes, pumpkin patches in the Frontiers, and the return of the Mournful King instance await you!

Mounts galore this Halloween as we introduce the new Spectral Mount, Pink Unicorn, and Enchanted Fire, Smoke, and Witchfire Brooms!

Festivities begin today, October 24th and will conclude on Wednesday, November 5th.

    Pumpkin Patch rewards

    • Defeat the hallowed ghost, mummy, night bat, walking dead, or gooey slime at the pumpkin patches for a rare chance to get Trick or Treat or Keep-Chest potions!
      • These rewards drop without needing to be on any quest!
      • Trick or Treat potions can be used on your realm-mates to give them randomized costumes!
        • These potions will be usable in RvR for the three days surrounding and including Halloween!

    Haunt or Be Haunted

    • John Tobin in Cotswold, Foa Muldisson in Mularn, and Nera in Mag Mell have studies to conduct.
      • Be rewarded handsomely with gold, realm points, and the Wings of Haunting cosmetic effect! What lengths will you go to get your hands on a free pair of the wings!?
        • NOTE: This quest can be completed again this year but characters who already have the wings will not get another pair.
    • Completed [Halloween] Haunt or Be Haunted quests that are not turned in by November 5th will be forcibly removed!

    Event Shop

    • New Enchanted Broom options have been added to the Event Shop and Mithril General Merchants (Page4)! Zip around the frontiers with a broom alight in flames, smoke, or witchfire!
    • Pumpkin Head pre-set patterns, spooky Consignment Merchant costumes, and the Wings of Haunting cosmetic spell effect are now for sale for mithril at your realm’s capital city’s Event Shop!
      • Visit the Event Shop soon because it disappears on November 5th!

If the witchy feeling is not your style, perhaps a Pink Unicorn is! Now available from our Mithril General Merchants!

    A Ghostly Harvest quest

    • The Ghostly Harvest Quest offers players level 45 and up a dangerous adventure in the frontiers. Speak with John Tobin on the Cotswold Bridge, Foa Muldisson outside the Jordheim North Gates, or Nera by the road in Mag Mell to begin the quest. (Note: Players who completed this quest last year will now be offered it again.)
    • Treat sellers have been spotted selling sugary confections inside Meath, Erikstaad, and Caerwent.
    • The consignment merchants would like to show you their Halloween spirit! Pick up the merchant and place it back down on your house porch and he will change into a Halloween outfit for you!
    • Be aware adventurers! Ghosts haunt the streets of your capital cities as the pumpkin moon rises! Ghosts have also been spotted in Mag Mell, Aegirhamn, and Campacorentin Station.
    • The horses you once rode have joined the spirit realm. (This affects stable and merchant horses only – not player controlled horses.)
    • Something strange has happened to all of the puppies.
    • The pumpkins have been carved into jack o’ lanterns!
    • A trio of crazy old women have been spotted selling costume potions inside Camelot, Jordheim, and Tir na Nog.
      • The costume potions last 15 minutes each and come in a variety of flavors.
      • The costume potions work best if you remove your helm and armor.
      • You cannot digest another costume potion if you are transformed into any of the monster forms.
      • The costume potions’ magics are short-lived and the potions will be useless after the festivities end so don’t horde them.
      • Some of the costume potions allow you to take the form of the enemy, so don’t be scared if you see some in your capital city or housing zones, it’s just your realm mates playing dress up!
      • The costumes and potions only work while you are in the capital cities or housing zones. You cannot use them outside of these zones and if you leave the zone while in costume, you will lose the effect.
      • As always, the days before, during, and after Halloween these potions can be used in RvR (With exception to pixies and ghosts potions, which are not usable in the frontiers ever)
    • NOTE: Players will need to logout and re-run the patcher in order to see the pumpkin moon, loot bags, and pumpkin patches

    A Hallowed Lost Quest

    • Level 50 players should visit the ghostly queen, Lenore, in each realm’s capital city to receive the quest ‘A Hallowed Lost’ so long as they haven’t already completed it.
      • Visit the pumpkin patches in the frontier to find the buttertoe candy pieces Lenore needs.
        • Only the pumpkin patches in Ellan Vannin, Pennine Mountains, Jamtland Mountains, and Breifine drop the five buttertoe candy pieces she needs.
          • You’ll want to get this year’s Ghostly Harvest quest to help guide you to the pumpkin patches!
          • Defeat the hallowed ghost, mummy, night bat, walking dead, or gooey slime at the pumpkin patches to get the candy pieces.
            • Buttertoe candy pieces no longer drop unless the player has the ‘A Hallowed Lost’ quest and hasn’t completed it yet.
          • Different patches have different candy pieces available.
      • Earn a new friend for your efforts!
      • Please note that this quest is only able to be completed once per character, including characters that completed it in previous years.

    Mournful King Event

    • The instance dungeon, the Castle of the Mournful King, awaits those willing to brave its powerful ruler’s fury!
      • Level 50 players should speak with Lenore to teleport to the instance.
      • This instance is meant to be extremely challenging and is therefore entirely optional and not required to complete any quest.
      • Note: Once the Mournful King is defeated, a Frozen Wind will spawn at the entrance until the rewards chest despawns.
      • Rewards include (note Otherworldly rewards have been removed):
          • Re-skinned hallowed weapons and armor
          • Hallowed Potions
          • Book of Recall
          • Greater Revealing Potion
          • Black Lion/Wolf/Sobekite Potions
          • Supreme Draught of Invigoration
          • New Dark Hallowed Weapons!
          • New Spectral Mount!

    • The Castle of the Mournful King instance uses the Loot Chest system:
      • The Mournful King and Nevermore monsters do not drop rewards directly other than the king’s remains.
      • The Mournful King spawns the Mournful King’s Loot Chest in the center of the Hallowed Ruins when defeated.
        • This chest will despawn after 20 seconds, so be sure to grab your loot quickly!
      • Characters can interact with the chest and receive 1 guaranteed reward per day but can still participate in the instance as many times as desired.
        • There is a greater than 50% chance to receive a re-skinned hallowed armor or weapon each day!
    • Lenore can be found in the following locations within the capital cities:
      • Camelot: The Church of Albion
      • Jordheim: The Temple of the Aesir

    Breach Event: The Abyss Reopened

    Created by

    |

The barriers between worlds tremble once more. Deep beneath the realms, ancient seals fracture and the fiery abyss reawakens, allowing demonic entities to claw their way back into our lands. Terrifying lords of flame and shadow surge forth through unstable breaches, threatening to engulf the frontiers in chaos once again.

But this time… they test our defenses, realm by realm.

For the next three weeks, a powerful demonic boss will take root within a different frontier. Their arrival will shatter the skies with fire and fury – bringing danger, challenge, and opportunity to all who dare face them. Whether friend or foe, all realms may strike these monstrosities down… if they can survive the onslaught.

Week 1 begins in Albion, where the demonic presence has corrupted Hadrian’s Wall and Pennine Mountains. Prepare your forces, rally your allies, and confront the abyssal threat head-on.

Adventurers should speak with the following NPC’s to receive two quests:

    • Albion: Lady Idris in Catterick Hamlet
    • Hibernia: Yda Llonwy in Crair Treflan
    • Midgard: Fathor in Godrborg

    Harvesting Crystals

Harvest the crystals that have appeared at the ruins of the old maze of Pennine Mountains. This quest is repeatable and awards 5,000 Bounty Points and 500 Realm Points (affected by bonuses) per turn in.

    [Breach] Further Breaches

The rifts have reopened, the demons have returned. Defeat these threats and put a stop to their encroachment to our world!

This is a repeatable (does not auto renew) quest and is a Battlegroup encounter. Completing the quest by defeating all three mobs awards you with 5,000 Realm Points (affected by bonuses) and a usable crate which will provide one of the following:

    • Various Trophies
    • Realm Point Bonus Potions
    • Extended Potions
    • Wares from Dungeons of Old

The demonic mobs now drop Magic Head Orbs. The rewards also have a very small chance to drop Catacombs bows.

The Breach mini event will run until Tuesday November 4th, 2025.
