Player Questions & Developer Answers

Without further ado, here it is for this week!

Q. I want to know if there's a list of the rewards you can receive from a siege supply chest? I've done multiple searches for this but I've not succeeded hence I'm turning to you as you are the developers. I know there are potions with group effects etc. I also wonder if these potions are rechargeable just like crafted potions?

A. The Bearded Wonder was nice enough to look this up and provide a list: The supply chests give you a random item from the following: one of eight one-time use potions (non-rechargeable), a Hired Militiaman Contract, or random siege ammunition in a stack of five.

Q. I recently canceled my account because I just don't have time to play this particular semester at college. My house was condemned, which I was expecting, but I just realized, what's going to happen to all the things inside my house? Mainly the 60 something platinum I left on my merchant?

A. You can find this information on the herald.

http://www.camelotherald.com/news/news_article.php?storyid=3117

- Houses which are owned by closed accounts will be condemned and removed from their lots after a reasonable period of time has lapsed and the account has not been re-opened. The house (in the form of a deed), all in-game money stored on the consignment merchant, all trophies, vaults, the consignment merchant, and items contained within the vaults and consignment merchant, will be placed on the repossession NPCs located in the Market areas of the housing zones.

Q. On the classic cluster, Druids that do the Dragonslayer armor quest now are receiving the ToA version of the chest. Was this intended as a change after 1.90, and are other classes also getting access to the ToA chest pieces on classic? Thank you.

A. Actually this wasn't by design, it was a bug that we already fixed earlier this week: - Because some Druids on the Classic ruleset might have been able to receive the chestpiece reward for the Normal ruleset, we need to remove the reward that is specific to the Normal Ruleset. This needs to be done as that reward has bonuses introduced with the Trials of Atlantis (TOA) expansion that should not be available on the Classic ruleset. Players with the Normal ruleset reward on the Classic ruleset will find that the item in question will delete itself from their inventory when they login and be replaced by the proper Classic ruleset version of the item.

Q. I have been using the Arcanium Astral Plaguebringer for about 2 weeks constantly in RvR but not once has the elemental proc gone off for me. I've seen this proc go off for other people using ml10 weapons with this proc is this specific weapon just bugged or stubborn.

A. Nothing appears patently wrong with the item upon cursory examination. There don't appear to be any weapons that share the same exact proc either. If you feel it is not working, feel free to send in a bug report and add data to support your claim and we'll have our QA folks test it out. If you want to include the exact item name and proc name of the item you say that is similar, that would be helpful as well. Thanks, Bearded Wonder.

Q. I have been out of the game for 4 months and now I am back. I was wondering if there are any zones still offering xp bonuses and which ones they are?

A. Here is the Zone Bonuses page, which is currently up-to-date. http://www.camelotherald.com/section.php?id=42

Q. What happened to the AoE root in the Shaman line. I had the lower level one before the patch and now I don't. Is this a bug or was it removed?

A. This is a bug that was fixed this week via hotfix. Sorry about that!

Q. I have a question regarding Dexterity and how it effects Archery since the latest Ranger updates. I've always heard Dex is the main damage stat for Bow damage. But, I noticed my damage did not change whether I was buffed to the teeth or completely unbuffed. It did affect my bow speed however, how could all main stats be left out of bow damage calculation?

A. The Balancinator explains: Dexterity does determine max bow damage per hit. The max damage tops out at a dexterity value that many race/realm ability combinations can achieve without buffs. You may not have been able to see it because you're already above the value without buffs. This should not dissuade an archer from buffing their dexterity. Your firing speed is still affected by higher dexterity values. It may not increase your maximum damage per hit to buff yourself, but you're increasing your overall damage per second.

Q. I just came back to the game and I'm working on a new template. The best one I found has the Medal of Honor listed, but reading the Herald I noticed that that item is no longer available. How can I get one? Did I miss my chance?

A. From the Dragon Lady: The Medal of Honor is a seasonal, event-related reward; offered by the king in times of great struggle. While it is not available at the moment, it will become available now and then as part of dynamic content. We realize that the Medal of Honor is a sought-after reward, so we'll try not to keep it out of circulation for too long.
