Do you want to combine knowledge, skill, and willingness to help with some bragging? Dark Age of Camelot now offers you the opportunity to do exactly that. We are looking for your creative minds to produce shorts video for our Wiki to familiarize new players - but also long-established veterans - with the different aspects of the game.
We seek your creativity about topics specified by us. You will have three weeks to create your work, we will then select the best video with the help of the community.
The winner gets the special title "Councelor" unlocked for all characters of his account and the winning videos get posted to our Wiki site for all to enjoy.
Are you up for the challenge?

MMORPG.com used the holiday break to conduct an interview with Stuart Zissu, Producer for Dark Age of Camelot, reviewing the past ten years of successful RvR.
"Why does the three realm break down in Dark Age of Camelot work so well? How come we have not seen it replicated as much in MMOs as it probably should have been?
There are many reasons why the three realm system works, but I think the biggest is the self-balancing. When one realm gets too far ahead, it's only a matter of time before the other two realms knock them down a notch. This allows for an ever changing and engaging RvR gamespace and reduces the feeling of hopelessness that can occur with a 2 sided conflict. With only 2 sides, if one gets too far ahead, it is tough for the underdogs to make a comeback.
As to why we haven't seen three realm RvR more, I think that is because of the difficulty that is inherent with it. It is a lot of hard work to balance a game for two sides, let alone three. Even after 10 years, we are still tweaking things here and there."

Happy New Year and see you in the frontiers!

Old grudges seldom die and some tribes nurture theirs; just waiting for the right moment to settle them. With Albion, Hibernia and Midgard weakened by their constant battles, a number of old bloodthirsty tribes seize their opportunity to reclaim what once was theirs. As initial settlers of Hibernia and the menace behind Hadrian’s Wall, the tribes of the Picts have united under one leader and come back with plans for revenge.
It seems that the Kings were right when they opened up their armory some time ago, everyone must be on their guard and ready to counter this new threat.

The Midwinter Festival is about to start in all three realms. This is a time for hearth and home, and bright and merry decorations! Come see this year’s celebrations at your realm’s festival grounds. Tavern Keepers everywhere have decorated their buildings with traditional adornments.
Olibar, the Midwinter Tomte, will be paying frequent visits to Castle Sauvage, Svasud Faste, and Druim Ligen seeking assistance. He seems to have lost some Midwinter presents throughout the battlegrounds. Speak to him if you wish to assist him. Players on the Mordred and Gaheris servers between the levels of 35 to 49 can speak to him to receive a special Frontier Gift Retrieval quest instead.
Santa Nicholas, Lucia of the Light, and Jack Frost will arrive with gifts for the people of the realms, but there’s been a bit of a crisis: their presents were hijacked and are now in the possession of dangerous enemies. They will offer the Saving Midwinter quest to all adventurers level 48 and above. Save Midwinter and earn a Cloak of Midwinter and a Medal of Honor! Visit them at the Winter Villages outside of Ludlow, Ardee, and Vasudheim.

With version 1.110 and the follow-up adjustments out the door it’s about time to say thank you to all of you who helped us testing this version on Pendragon. We received a tremendous amount of feedback and we are sure that the last patch was a great step in the development of the game.
As announced during the test phase, we have created Pendragon’s Ring to distribute it to the New User Journey test winners who are randomly drawn from the list of all testers. As a big thank you we have decided to raise the percentage of winners to 50% - every second tester will win one of these rings.
The winners will be contacted via email and may choose one of their characters on the winning account which will then have the ring placed in its inventory.
Keep an eye on the Herald – we’ll let you know when the e-mails are sent.
In the meantime, please make sure that your email address on your account is up to date.
Keep sending in your feedback and see you in the frontiers!
