Camelot 2006 Calendar Contest - Official Rules

1. All entries need to be at least 11" wide by 8.5" tall. It need not be exactly 11x8.5 but it should generally fit into that proportion. All entries should be produced or scanned at 300 dpi (dots/pixels per inch). You may submit your entry at a lower resolution (standard screen resolution) but if selected as a potential winner you must be able to provide a 300dpi version suitable for printing.

2. All images must be 100% original. No part of it may be either copied from or "sampled" from any other source other than screen shots of Dark Age of Camelot.

3. No screenshots, only original drawings, paintings, renderings, etchings, etc.... anything but a screenshot from the game. Screen shots may be used as the basis for artwork if heavily modified within a digital paint program.

4. Images need to be PG-13 in nature. You know what we mean, this is a family calendar.

5. No titles or logos in the artwork as it might not work with the calendar's final layout. We're not going to turn it down if your guild's emblem/banner etc. is in the image somewhere, but stay away from any text or use of the DAoC, Mythic or Camelot Knot logos.

Artists selected for consideration as finalists will need to sign a work for hire agreement assigning rights to Mythic Entertainment prior to final judging and selection.

7. Winners will receive credit for their submission on the calendar page on which their artwork is reproduced, along with an optional link to their web site.

8. The contest starts at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) on July 29, 2005 and ends at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on October 14th, 2005 ("Contest Period"). Prizes will be awarded to selected finalists from among all eligible entries received. Selection of winners will be made by employees of Mythic Entertainment, Inc. and are at their sole discretion.

9. There are only two methods of entry:

   1) Email a low resolution file of artwork for consideration to calendar@mythicentertainment.com.
   2) Send your submission on a disk to Mythic Entertainment ATTN: CALENDAR CONTEST at the
     address listed below in rule 16.

Multiple entries submitted by a single entrant are allowed. Mythic Entertainment assumes no responsibility for lost, late, illegible, garbled or misdirected entries or for any computer, online, telephone, or human error or technical malfunctions that may occur. Incomplete entries or entries which do not meet the criteria defined within these rules are void.

10. Winners will be selected by Mythic Entertainment employees from among all eligible entries received. Mythic Entertainment’s decisions are final on matters relating to this contest. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

11. Open only to U.S. residents, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Mythic Entertainment, and anyone working on the companies products, projects or promotions, advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate family members (parents, spouse, siblings, children) or anyone who lives in the same household of each (whether related or not) are not eligible. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this promotion. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.

12. The laws of the United States govern this contest. Participation constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these rules and the decisions of Mythic Entertainment as the sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein in a timely manner. Winners may be required to execute and return a Work for Hire Agreement and Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and where legal, Publicity Release within 14 days following the date of issuance of notification. Non-compliance within this time period or return of any notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Mythic Entertainment and its designees to use winner's art submission, name, voice, picture and other likeness for advertising, promotional and other purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. No more than the quantity of prizes listed in these rules will be awarded.

13. Mythic Entertainment is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this game or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this promotion. If, in the judges' opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of the contest, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the game, the judges reserve the right to terminate the contest and conduct a random drawing to award the prizes using all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of termination. Use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e- mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

14. By entering this contest, participant waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages, or attorneys' fees and agrees to release and hold harmless Mythic Entertainment, Inc., subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, distributors, agencies, suppliers and advertising, promotional and judging organizations and each of their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders and agents from and against any and all claims, actions, and/or liability for any loss, injuries and/or damages (including, without limitation, any death or disability) sustained in connection with use of a prize or related to participation in this promotion.

15. Winners will be posted online after November 1st, 2005 at the "Calendar Contest 2006" web page (http://www.darkageofcamelot.com/calendar).
